In September 2012 I started working on something that was just suppose to become Christmas presents for my family. It is now morphing into something that is bringing me so much joy that I want to share it with you.
Here is what I do:
I take your personal image and transfer them onto a piece of wood that I carefully pick out just for your photo. This allows some of the unique characteristics of the wood to show through making no two pieces alike. Some spots of the image wear off allowing the wood to show through and creating beautiful imperfections. The process starts with me cutting, sanding, and prepping the piece of wood before I transfer your image (NOT GLUED!) creating a one of a kind piece. The entire process from start to finish takes 24 hours. On the back I attach a sawtooth hanger for easy hanging or you can simply stack it in a bookcase or mantle. Each piece is covered in a protective finish to protect the image.
This makes a beautiful, creative, and personal gift for Christmas, Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Grandparents Day, Valentines Day, or for your own home.
You must have all Rights to your photo. Email me your photo in the highest quality for best results. I also want to point out that anything in your photo that is purely ‘white’ will not be white after it’s transferred. The wood shows through and that’s what make these pieces so perfect.
Because each piece is hand cut and sanded, the sizes are not exact ~ 7″x 10″ (my standard size) and you choose either 1″ thick or 2 ” thick. Due to the wood type, 2″ thick pieces tend to come out with a more vintage feel.

These prices include Cropping and/or changing your color photo to black & white upon your specification. Anything else you would like done will be an extra cost of $10 per photo (I will send it to a Professional Photographer, VanessaLPhotography to edit).
